Quality Assurance

It is important to us to offer good-quality products. When purchasing products we therefore set requirements for characteristics, functionality, sustainability and safety. We check at various stages of production to monitor compliance with our requirements.

As a customer, you should feel confident when shopping at Lagerhaus. In order to guarantee good quality and safety, we require our suppliers to comply with European and Swedish legislation. Lagerhaus also has required tests for suppliers to perform themselves. Quality tests cover factors such as colour-fastness, wash tests and shrinkage. Special tests and random tests are performed if it is suspected that our quality requirements are not being met.

Chemicals

Many products today contain various types of chemicals and it is essential for us to ensure that we keep a careful check on these. Lagerhaus works actively to comply with EU legislation, including the REACH regulation and other updates regarding chemicals.

Our dealings with chemical restrictions have also revealed areas where we feel that the law is not strict enough. In such instances we have produced more extensive chemical requirements for our products, for example, for textiles and toiletries. We keep continually up to date regarding current legislation and phase out any chemicals that prove to be harmful to humans or the environment. We apply the "Guide to buying terms for the chemical content in textiles, clothing, leather goods and shoes" from the Textile Importers' Association in Sweden in our work.

Chemicals in toiletries are one example of an area where Lagerhaus applies more extensive requirements than those demanded by legislation. Among other things, we have produced our own list of substances that we do want to have in our toiletries.

Exclusions

We want our customers to feel confident when shopping with us. We therefore exclude products that we do not feel are acceptable or compatible with our values.

We have created clear guidelines based on our values and, among other things, we do not condone violence, discrimination or racism. Lagerhaus also strives to safeguard animal welfare and biological diversity. We evaluate our range on an ongoing basis with regard to excluded items. Below is a selection of Lagerhaus' ethical exclusions and standpoints.

Down - Lagerhaus does not condone the use of down plucked from live birds.

Leather - Lagerhaus only accepts leather that is a by-product from meat production.

Fur - Lagerhaus does not condone the use of fur and is a member of the "Fur Free Alliance" through Axstores.

Wood -Lagerhaus does not accept wood products containing material from endangered species.

PVC - Lagerhaus is striving to eliminate PVC (polyvinyl chloride) from all products due to various negative environmental and health effects.
